Everyone attending, exhibiting, working, volunteering, and speaking at OFVC must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This means the second dose of a Canadian federally approved COVID-19 vaccine has been administered by February 8, 2022. Niagara Falls Convention Centre personnel will check all persons entering the building.
Any person experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, who has been in contact recently with someone who has tested positive, or has received a positive test for COVID-19 should not attend OFVC.
All guests accessing the building will be required to provide proof of vaccination at point of entry (per Government of Ontario). Guests will enter and exit within designated spaces.
Per by-law no. 2020-46 enacted by The Regional Municipality of Niagara, every person within an enclosed public place must wear a face covering.
We ask you to respect physical distancing wherever possible. We have adjusted our educational session room layout to utilize larger spaces. Please check the map posted in the registration area for directions.
All rooms and public spaces in use by staff, guests, service providers and suppliers will be meticulously cleaned and disinfected before and at the end of every gathering. During such gatherings, additional attendants are to walk around frequently cleaning and disinfecting (e.g., tables, chairs, handrails and handles) over the course of the day. Indoor air quality is automatically monitored and purified by MERV-13 filters. High-touch surfaces, washroom facilities and waste receptacles are being treated with the utmost attention when it comes to cleaning and disinfecting. Disinfectants handled and applied under these circumstances are registered in Canada with a drug identification number (DIN) and labeled as effective against virucidal and bactericidal activity.
It is the responsibility of everyone to maintain good personal hygiene, including washing your hands frequently and sneezing into the inside of your elbow.
Convention Centre staff, service providers and suppliers are expected to complete health screening daily. The online questionnaire that our staff are required to complete each day is adapted from a Screening Questionnaire made available by Niagara Region Public Health and Emergency Services. Anyone who answers yes to any of its questions cannot enter the facility, and is encouraged to self-isolate immediately and get tested.
